Generate a backup
Generate a backup file using a Bolt plan. This file is stored in the backup directory on the Security Compliance Management host system and can be used to roll back to a previous state or restore your installation into a new infrastructure for disaster recovery.
To run the backup utility, from the root of your Security Compliance Management Bolt project run:
bolt plan run complyadm::backupThe plan may take several minutes to run depending on the size of the environment and configured log retention policies (up to an hour for very large databases). Once the plan is complete it prints the file name of the backup.
A file is stored in the backup directory on the Security Compliance Management host system. Generally, it is a good idea to back up this directory to an external source to handle disaster recovery situations. If you use an external source, you need to manage the retention of these backups.
